Go Bright for Bodie
Go Bright for Bodie is a themed charity day which can be easily accessed by both primary and secondary schools as well as corporates!
Our bereavement services support families following the death of their child, with an aim to give bereaved families hope in the darkest of days.
Go Bright for Bodie is a way to mark Bodie’s legacy, and to encourage children, young people to engage in self-care and to understand how to support their friends when they are struggling with difficult emotions.
As well as raising awareness of the charity, we encourage everyone taking part to make a day of it, wearing bright clothes, decorating the classroom or office, hosting games and brightening each other’s day!

As a family you control how the funds are used within the charity. You may decide to raise money for our core costs, Bodie’s Bereavement Service, Bodie’s Treasured Memory Bags or one of our peer support groups.
How do the funds work?
- You choose a name for your fund and together we will help you design a logo
- You will receive a fundraising pack to help guide you
- Set up a Just giving page to manage your donations and see your total
- You can also choose to have a text number to share with your donors
- You decide how the money you have raised is spent within the charity
- You receive regular check in’s and support from our fundraising team
- You will have access to our partners to support with design, printing, and merchandise
- We will design you 3 graphics that can be used on social media to share your fund

Go Bright for Bodie isn’t just for schools. Businesses, workplaces and community groups can get involved too. Bring some brightness to your workplace by encouraging staff to wear bright colours, decorating your office, hosting a themed tea break or organising a fun fundraising activity. It’s a simple way to boost wellbeing, bring colleagues together and spark conversations about supporting ourselves and others through difficult emotions.
