The death of a child is one of the most traumatic experiences a parent can face.
You can help us to achieve our vision of giving hope to families bereaved of a child by providing a range of services that support and encourage them to rebuild and remember. Every year across Leicester, Leicester, and Rutland around 100 families will experience the death of a child.
With the right support families develop amazing strength and resilience, but they need time and support to rebuild and meaningful connections with other people are the key to recovery.
The Bodie Hodges Foundation relies on voluntary charitable donations to support parents, children and young people following the death of a child. Since 2013 we have helped hundreds of families in their darkest hour of grief and, with your help, we can help even more. Your donation will help us to ensure that no families are left to grieve alone.

Together, we can create glimmers of light in a family’s darkest days

Your support will help us to provide families with a safe space to process their grief, connect with others who understand and a place where they can remember their child.
Grief can feel extremely isolating, but through our services we help parents to look for those glimmers of light, reminding them of the love they hold for their child and the memories which can continue to shine bright.
When a child dies, families often find themselves surrounded in darkness, searching for even the faintest glimmer of light to guide them through their grief.
At the Bodie Hodges Foundation we are the light to these families, offering support, compassion and understanding.
